MORATORIUM ON THE SITING OF WIND PROJECTS

We need your help once again. A bill has been moving its way through the legislature and now sits on the House Calendar awaiting action by that chamber. HB6249, AN ACT ESTABLISHING A MORATORIUM ON THE SITING OF WIND PROJECTS UNTIL THE ADOPTION OF REGULATIONS imposes a moratorium on the siting of wind projects in the state and jeopardizes Wind Prospect and Wind Colebrook as well as future wind projects in Connecticut.

It is vitally important that you contact legislative leaders in the House of Representatives immediately and ask them to please NOT pass the moratorium bill which will kill wind projects in Connecticut.

“Please do not pass the wind moratorium bill. Connecticut needs clean, sustainable energy and this bill sends the wrong message to environmentalists, wind developers and those of us who care about our energy future.”
